Welcome to Prayer for Ireland

Financial Situation in Ireland
Everyone is touched one way or another by the current financial situation in Ireland .    The Central Statistics Office today (Wednesday July 23rd) announced that Ireland 's live register total increase for July was 10,600.  Compared to the same time last year the rise in the live register total was a seasonally adjusted 63,000.  Every month people are losing jobs.  Many are anxious about their futures and losing their homes.  God can really speak to people during these very difficult times.  Let's pray that rather than become sick with anxiety or bitterness, people turn to the Lord during this period of their lives.  The government needs wisdom in how to go forward in the current climate.

The banking system in Ireland and around the world has been shown in recent months  to be extremely fragile. Let's pray for wisdom and integrity for the governing bodies controlling the nations financial system.

Concerning last month's email about the missing children in Ireland , we received an email from Ruhamah (http://www.ruhamah.ie/) who work directly with abused people daily and asked that we would continue to remember them in prayer in their valuable work.

Many thanks,

Kathy Nichols
